Often we solve this conundrum by filling in the blanks with cultural stereotypes adopted either from American media perspectives or from our own crude character sketches of the Dumb Newfy, Stupid Cowboy, Stoned Asian Snowboarder, Eskimos, Snobby Torontonians, and Dashingly Handsome Nova Scotian drunks.
Proof Magazine is an online magazine with a mission to present Canadian Culture from a uniquely Canadian perspective. Each issue is a web of young Canadian perspectives and experiences intertwined by a central theme. By the end of each issue you will be amused, outraged, and confused by the lack of an elegant simplicity. Thus is Canada.

Proof Magazine is the unified vision of Steven Mann and Stephen Piercey. Friends since childhood; Steve Mann went on to get his degree in English Literature and Cultural Studies from Bishop's University before fleeing to much of Asia Pacific where he truly learned how flexible reality was. Meanwhile, Stephen Piercey followed his mind warped doodles into a career in graphic design where he has worked professionally as a logo and commercial advertising designer and digital artist behind the moniker discoarcade.ca
